Daniel E. Prein

Daniel E. Prein, 54, of San Francisco, Calif., walked peacefully into eternal life on Sunday, June 3, 2007, at his residence under Hospice Care.

Daniel was born Dec. 10, 1952, in Merrill, to John and Virginia Taylor Prein.

Daniel was baptized, received sacraments and graduated from St. Francis Catholic Parish Schools, and was a 1971 graduate of Merrill Senior High School. He attended UW La Crosse, and his career took him to Phoenix, Ariz., and eventually to San Francisco, Calif.

Daniel is survived by his mother Virginia Rounsaville, Stratford; brothers Michael Prein, Merrill; and Ricci (Diane) Prein, Roberts; sisters Denise (Wayne) Kleinschmidt, Kelowna, B.C., Canada; and Lori (James) Huber, Cottage Grove, Minn.; step-sister Cindy (Tom) Shiroda, Elkhorn; and eight nieces and five nephews. He was preceded in death by his father John in September 1987, sister-in-law Linda Winters Prein in July 2006, step father Leslie Rounsaville in March 2007 and step-brother Gordon Rounsaville in December 1969.
