Edward W. Behling

Edward W. Behling, 83, of Irma, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2007, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

Ed was born March 17, 1924, in Tomahawk to the late Jess and Anna Behling. He married June Roberts on May 22, 1961, in Eagle River. She survives.

Ed was a lifelong resident of the Tomahawk area. He was a 1942 graduate of Tomahawk High School. Ed owned and operated Behling Insurance in Tomahawk for 42 years, retiring in 1988. He also owned and operated Tomahawk Tree Farms for 50 years. He was a former member of the Tomahawk School Board. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, and most of all, spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife June, Tomahawk; daughter Mary (Bruce) Czaja, Tomahawk; son Tom (Sharon), Tomahawk; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Roy.

A Funeral Mass was Wednesday, June 20, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Tomahawk. Rev. John Anderson officiated. The Krueger & Sons Funeral Home, Tomahawk, assisted the family.
