Ruth A. Hanke

Ruth Ann Hanke, 63, of Merrill, died Thursday, June 21, 2007, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Ruth was born April 25, 1944, to the late Owen and Ethel Sellhausen McIntire. On Oct 29, 1960, she married Richard Hanke in Waukegan, Ill.

Ruth was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Her family was her life. She also enjoyed crocheting and was an active movie enthusiast.

Surviving are her husband of 46 years, Richard, Merrill; sons Rich (Donna), Fond du Lac; Robert (Annette), Temecula, Calif.; and Raymond (Eric Corrales), Palmdale, Calif.; daughters Roberta (Jim Hanneman) Hanke and Renata (Tom) LaMarr, both of Merrill; and Eden (Sean) Brennan, Sun Prairie; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is further survived by brothers Owen (Sharon) McIntire, Springfield, Ill,; and Daniel (Mary) McIntire, Alabama; and "special aunt" Carol Tappendorf, Milwaukee. She is preceded in death by grandsons Elishua and Jordan Hanke and brother Timothy.

Funeral services were Monday, June 25, at the Waid Funeral Home, Merrill.
