Gerald R. "Truck" Hildebrandt, 65, N3803 Hwy 17, Merrill, town of Schley, died June 21, 2007, at his home under the care of his family and Ministry Hospice.

Gerald was a supervisor on the town of Schley Board.

A memorial service is being planned for a later date. A full obituary will be published at that time. The Taylor & Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, is serving the family.

Gerald R. Hildebrandt

Gerald R. "Truck" Hildebrandt, 65, of N3803 State Hwy 17, Merrill, town of Schley, died Thursday, June 21, 2007, at his home, under the care of his family and Ministry Hospice.

Gerald was born Jan. 3, 1942, in Wausau, son of the late Robert and Hazel Harding Hildebrandt. On Jan. 7, 1963, he married Alice Stickler in Chicago. She survives.

Gerald was a pipe fitter/maintenance mechanic at Wausau Paper in Brokaw, and retired after 23 years of employment. He enjoyed motorcycling and was a retired member of the "Seekers Motorcycle Club" of Wausau. He enjoyed fishing, gun hunting, bow hunting, four-wheeling, being outdoors, visiting with people, and playing practical jokes. Gerald received job training and graduated from Northcentral Technical College in Wausau. He was a member of the Gleason Area Lions Club, was a past president of the club, and was active in all club activities. Gerald was currently a supervisor on the town of Schley Town Board. He served in the U.S. Navy in the early 1960s and was stationed stateside.

Survivors include his wife Alice Hildebrandt, Merrill; daughters Vicki Lynn (friend Dennis White) Cauthen, New London; and Jeri Lyn Hildebrandt, Merrill; son Robert, Appleton; grandchildren Trisha, Jimmy, Jonathon, Derek and Shauna; great-grandchild Kyle; and sister Phyllis Zocker, Wausau.

A memorial service will be 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, July 14, at the "Lions Park" building, located on Bradley St. in Gleason. The Taylor & Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, is assisting the family.
