Patsy L. Hanson

Patsy Lea Hanson, 67, of Merrill, died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007, at her residence.

Born in Spirit Falls on Sept. 22, 1939, Patsy was the daughter of the late Alonzo and Alma McConnell Freeman.

Patsy had worked at the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum. She had also worked at several places as an assistant care giver. Patsy enjoyed writing poetry, sewing, working crossword puzzles, camping, being outdoors, and especially music.

Survivors include her daughters Janie Loewen, Merrill; Pamela Hanson-Simmons, Schofield; and Patricia Ball, Lebanon, Ore.; sons James, Merrill; Michael (Judy), Lebanon, Ore.; and Timothy, Merrill; 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters Edith (Bud) Kalander, Prentice; and Charlotte Jayjodk, Elizabeth, Ky.; and brother William (Shirley) Freeman, Ogema. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sons and nine sisters and brothers.

Private family services will be held at a later date. The Waid Funeral Home, Merrill, is serving the family.
