Lucille B. Heath

Lucille B. Heath, 88, of Merrill, died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007, at her home as a result of a fire.

Born in Merrill on March 24, 1919, Lucille was the daughter of the late Barney and Alma Mathison Wyland. She married Garth Heath on March 8, 1940, in Merrill. He preceded her in death on July 21, 2003.

Lucille graduated from Merrill High School. She was a well-known collector and dealer of antiques in the Merrill area. Better known to her friends as "Granny," Lucille especially enjoyed participating in antique shows, meeting people and sharing her knowledge of antiques. She will be greatly missed by her family, many friends, and the Merrill community.

Survivors include her daughters Pam Piper, Colorado Springs, Colo.; and Jill Heath, Peoria, Ill.; granddaughters Stephanie Kuhns, Katie Kuhns and Heather Dempsey; grandsons PJ Piper and Michael Kuhns; great-grandsons Donovan and Jack Dempsey; and sister-in-law Arleigh Jameson, Merrill. She was preceded in death by her husband Garth, grandson Tom Piper and brother Clifford Wyland.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. The Waid Funeral Home, Merrill, is assisting the family.
