JoAnn L. Sense

JoAnn L. Sense, 64, Merrill, died Wednesday, July 4, 2007.

Born in Wausau on Sept. 19, 1942, JoAnn was the daughter of the late Ervin and Elsie Strei Lodholz. She married LeRoy Sense on Nov. 4, 1961, in Zion Lutheran Church in Rib Falls.

JoAnn graduated from Marathon High School in 1960. She was employed at Schult's Country Inn and had worked in the food service at Merrill Public Schools. JoAnn was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in the town of Maine and the church Altar Guild. She was a member of the Central Wisconsin Polka Club, the Devil's Creek Snowmobile Club and several card clubs. JoAnn enjoyed knitting, working in the yard, and especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-granddaughter.

Surviving are her husband LeRoy, Merrill; daughters Cheryl (Rodney) Dahlke, Cindy (Brad) Salzman and Christine (Keith) Williams, all of Merrill; eight grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her son Jeffrey.

Funeral services were Saturday, July 7, at Faith Lutheran Church, town of Maine. Rev. Kevin Hoogland officiated. Burial was in Scott Cemetery, town of Scott. The Waid Funeral Home, Merrill, handled the arrangements.
