Donna F. Petrowski

Donna F. Petrowski, 61, of Merrill, died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2007, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, under palliative care.

Born in Merrill on March 28, 1946, Donna was the daughter of the late Ervin and Esther Persik Yonke. She married Donald Petrowski on July 10, 1965, in Merrill. He survives.

Donna graduated from Merrill High School in 1964. She had worked at Merrill Manufacturing for over 20 years. Donna was a member of Luther Memorial Lutheran Church, Gleason. She enjoyed her many trips to the casino with family and friends. Donna especially enjoyed spending time with her three granddaughters.

Surviving are her husband Donald, Merrill; daughter Donita (Dan) Folta, Merrill; son Darin (Terry), Irma; granddaughters Lindsey, Kayli and Kendra; and step-grandson Dan 2nd. Also surviving are sisters Jeanette (Elmer) Lee, Marilyn (Bill) Burgener and Jermaine Yonke, all of Merrill; brother Roger (Shirley) Yonke, Merrill; sister-in-law Arlene Yonke, Merrill; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Verlyn Yonke.

Funeral services were Friday, Nov. 16, at the Waid Funeral Home, Merrill. Rev. Steven Anderson officiated. Burial was in Forest View Cemetery, town of Vilas. Memorials may be given to the Cancer Society. Donna's family would like to thank their friends and loved ones for the care and support given them during her illness.
