Martell-Williams

Gwendolyn "Wendie" Jayne Martell and Brian Keith Williams, announce their engagement and impending wedding.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Marion Martell and the late Edward Martell, Merrill. The future groom is the son of Gloria and Henry Williams Jr., Pompano Beach, Fla., and the late Marlene (Krueger) Williams, formerly of Appleton.

Wendie is a therapist with the ministry of Vision's Counseling, a social worker at Aspirus Behavioral Health, and Nia dance teacher in Merrill and Wausau. She facilitates Circle of Joy Wellness Center in Merrill. Wendie has a master's degree in social work from UW Milwaukee and bachelor's degree in education from UW Madison.

Brian served in the U.S. Marine Corps and is a seventh and eighth grade teacher at Our Savior's Lutheran School in Wausau. He is on the board of directors of the Marathon County Historical Society, president of the Marathon County Civil War Round Table, and member of the Rib Mountain Muzzle Loaders. Brian holds a bachelor's degree in education from Dr. Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minn.

March wedding celebrations at Our Savior's and and YMCA in Wausau are being planned.
