Ardiss Mae Kudick, 74, of Ladysmith, died Monday, Jan. 22, 2007, at the home of her daughter.

Ardiss was born May 3, 1932, in Jump River, daughter of the late Chester and Betty Smith of Jump River. She married William Buyatt. They had three children.

Ardiss was a homemaker and ironed for many people in Waukesha. She enjoyed crocheting. On June 8, 1968, Ardiss married Robert Kudick and they lived in California where son Darren was born in 1969. They lived in Arizona for two years and then returned to Merrill for 22 years before moving to Demorest, Ga., in 2000. Ardiss moved to her daughter and son-in-law's residence for a brief time before her passing.

Ardiss is survived by her children Steven (Julie) Buyatt, Palmyra; Linda (Terry) Novotny, Ladysmith; Mark (Crystal) Buyatt, Demorest, Ga.; Darren (Jennifer) Kudick, Sawanee, Ga.; seven step-children; grandchildren Tamara, Jennifer, Theresa, Tracey, Mark II, Matheau, and Jordan; and many great-grandchildren and step-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Phyllis (Don) Winchel, Lake Delton; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a half-brother, and her husband Robert Kudick.

Her remains will be laid to rest at Mt. Nebo Cemetery, Jump River.

The Nash-Jackan Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.
