Vivian K. Grimes

Vivian Kathleen Grimes, 82, of Merrill, formerly of Advance, Ind., died at her home in Merrill.

Born Aug. 5, 1924, in Crawfordsville, Ind., Vivian was the daughter of the late Chester S. and Nannie C. Todd Caldwell. She married Alva Grimes on Oct. 25, 1945. He survives.

Vivian was a member of New Ross Methodist Church. She worked at Farmers Creamery and retired from Culver Union Hospital as an administrative secretary.

Surviving are her husband Alva; daughters Sharon (Raymond) Bahney, Sue (Stan) Collins and Cheryl (Patrick) Gano; son Gary (Rhoda); 10 grandchildren; two step-granddaughters; 14 great-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by brothers Donald "Chick" and Ralph D. Caldwell.

Funeral services were Tuesday, Jan. 30, at the Porter Funeral Home, Jamestown, Ind. Roger Ward officiated. Burial followed in Jamestown I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Jamestown, Ind.

The Waid Funeral Home, Merrill, handled local arrangements.
