Lorene (Henrichs) Renken

Lorene A. Renken, 61, of Merrill, died Friday, Dec. 29, 2006, at Aspirus Hospice House, Wausau.

Born April 25, 1945, in Merrill. Lorene was the daughter of the late Ulrich and Adela Dengel Renken.

Lorene enjoyed spending time at the cottage in Eagle River, fishing, cookouts, bird watching, and spending time with family and friends. She also was an avid Chicago Bears fan. Lorene worked at Semco for 28 years, and was a member of Union Local 2344.

Survivors include her son Tony (Julie) Hartwig, Merrill; daughter Linda (Tim) Kretlow, Merrill, and grandchildren Michael Riesinger, Timothy Kretlow, and Bradley and Brooke Hartwig. Also surviving are brothers David (Theresa) Renken and John (Barbara) Renken, both of Merrill; sisters Mae (Donald) Eckardt, Brookfield; and Janis (James) Framke, Grayslake, Ill.; brother-in-law Jack Bitcon, Glenview, Ill.; and special friend Arliss Munro, Merrill. She was preceded in death by sister Joyce Bitcon and nephew Rick Renken.

Funeral services were Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007, at Calvary Lutheran Church on Cain Creek Rd., Merrill. Rev. John Meachan officiated. Entombment was in Merrill Memorial Park Mausoleum.

The Waid Funeral Home, Merrill, served the family.
