Devon I. Kleinschmidt

Devon I. Kleinschmidt, 51, of Merrill, died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2006, at House of the Dove, Marshfield.

Born July 23, 1955, in Merrill, Devon was the daughter of Arlene Tesch Wilke and the late Stanley Wilke. She married Brian Kleinschmidt on March 23, 1999, in Merrill. He survives.

Devon graduated from Merrill High School in 1973. She moved to Milwaukee where she attended Concordia College. Devon had worked at Children's Hospital, A.C. Delco, and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. In 1991 Devon moved back to Merrill where she was employed at Lincoln Wood and Wal-Mart. Devon enjoyed refinishing antiques, watching the Brewers and Packers on television, and was a fantastic cook. She loved her cat Tony.

Survivors include her husband Brian, Merrill; mother Arlene Wilke, Merrill; sister Deborah (Sally)Leuenberger, Merrill; brother Brian (Mary) Wilke, Merrill; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Stanley Wilke.

Funeral services were Monday, Oct. 9, at the Waid Funeral Home, Merrill. Rev. Jeffrey Schmidt officiated.
