Erwin C. Baumann

Erwin Carl Baumann, 78, of Merrill, died peacefully Saturday, Oct. 7, 2006, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital Center under Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.

Born in the town of Berlin on May 22, 1928, Erwin was the son of the late Erwin Sr. and Irene Voight Baumann. He married Audrey Tesch on May 26, 1951. She preceded him in death on Nov. 14, 1989.

Erwin farmed in the town of Berlin until his death. He also drove milk truck for many years. Erwin enjoyed polka dancing and traveling.

Survivors include his sons Erwin L. (Betty), Arpin; and Jeffrey (Kathie) and Terry (Amy Peeters), both of Merrill; daughters Susan (John Heckendorf) Baumann and Debra Gryskiewicz, both of Merrill; grandchildren Tracie and Bryan Baumann, Penny Weber, Cari and Kati Waldburger, Nicholas and Theodore Baumann, Stephen and Scott Baumann and Adam Gryskiewicz; step-granddaughter Annie Kleinschmidt; and great- grandchildren Nikkia, Mariyah, Faith and Liberty. Also surviving are special friend Rosemary Lutz, Merrill; sister Agnes Steckling, Athens; and sister-in-law Elaine Baumann, Racine. He was preceded in death by his wife Audrey and brother David.

Funeral services were Tuesday, Oct. 10, at the Waid Funeral Home, Merrill. Rev. R. Brian Stolarczyk officiated. Burial was in St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Cemetery, town of Berlin.
