Paul Schulz Jr.

Paul Schulz Jr., 84, formerly of 2106 River St., Merrill, died Sunday, Oct. 15, 2006, at Pine Crest Nursing Home, Merrill.

Paul was born July 19, 1922, in the town of Scott, son of the late Paul and Minnie Paque Schulz Sr. He married Gertrude Schmidt on Oct. 27, 1945. She survives.

Paul worked at Merrill Gravel for 21 years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Merrill, where he served as an usher. He enjoyed lawn work, gardening and shoveling snow.

Survivors include his wife Gertrude, Merrill; daughter Sandy (Gary) Hass, Merrill; former son-in-law Gary Baumann, Kentucky; and grandson Mark Baumann, Killeen, Texas. He was preceded in death by daughter Judith Baumann, sisters Helen Schulz, Cecil Mahn and Hertha Burby; and brothers Herman and Herbert.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 20, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Merrill. Rev. David Klemm will officiate. Burial will be in Springbrook Cemetery, town of Pine River. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, at the Taylor & Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, and again from 9 a.m. to the hour of services Friday at the church.
