Lorraine F. Hutchens

Lorraine F. Hutchens, 53, of Plainfield, formerly of Merrill, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2007, at St. Michael's Hospital, Stevens Point.

Born in Merrill on Dec. 4, 1953, Lorraine was the daughter of Shirley Schneck Graap and the late Rinehardt Graap. She married Lonnie Woller on July 14, 1973. She was remarried to John Hutchens on Oct. 20, 1997, in Stevens Point. He survives.

Lorraine graduated from Merrill High School in 1972. She was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Merrill. Lorraine enjoyed writing poetry, shooting pool, working crossword puzzles, baking, cooking, and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband John Hutrchens, Plainfield; her mother Shirley Graap, Merrill; daughter Heather Pophal, Merrill; and grandsons Stephen and Colton. Also surviving are sisters Leanne Andzeyewski, Merrill; Lesley Graap, Tomahawk; and Lou Wenda Peterson, Lonna Graap and Lana Graap, all of Merrill; brothers Gerhardt (Marlene) Graap, Geoffrey Graap and Gabriel Graap, all of Merrill; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father Rinehardt Graap, brothers Garland, Gregory, Galen and Gareth, and two nephews.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 16, at the Waid Funeral Home, Merrill. Burial will be in Merrill Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday evening, Feb. 15, 4-8 p.m., and again Friday morning from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
