Mildred A. Zimmerman

Mildred A. Zimmerman, 89, of 407 Hendricks St., Merrill, died Monday, Aug. 14, 2006, at Bell Tower Residence, Merrill.

Mildred was born April 10, 1917, in Merrill, daughter of the late August and Katherine Gall Zimmerman. She married Herbert B. Zimmerman on March 23, 1935, in Merrill. He preceded her in death on May 22, 1995.

Mildred had worked at the former Holy Cross Hospital, Merrill, and was also employed at the former Hanson Glove Factory in Merrill. She enjoyed baking and fishing.

Survivors include her daughter Arlene Polack, Merrill, son Gary (Linda), Oneida; grandchildren Jolene, Jody, Janene and Brian; and great-grandchildren Kaenna, Marissa, Savanna, Elijah, Michael, Amber and Takela. Also surviving are sisters Stella Hemilski, Wausau; Evelyn Hulke, Merrill; and Bernice McPherson, New Buffalo, Mich.; and brother Victor (Charlotte) Zimmerman, Merrill. She is preceded in death by son-in-law Harold Polack; sisters Clara Blaisdell, Marjory Phelps and Isabelle Iwen; and brothers Bernard, Glen, Earl, Art and Walter Zimmerman.

Funeral services were Thursday, Aug. 17, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Merrill. Rev. Brian Stolarczyk officiated. Burial was in Merrill Memorial Park. The Taylor & Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, assisted the family.
