Danny J. Remington

Danny James Remington, 45, of Katy, Texas, died peacefully in his sleep on Friday, June 23, 2006, at his home.

Danny was born Feb. 11, 1961, in Heidelberg Germany to Glenn A.and Carol J. Robinson Remington. On Sept. 19, 1987, he married Deidre Guillory in Lafayette, La.

Danny graduated from Antigo High School in 1979. He then served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard. Danny lived in the Katy, Texas, area for 19 years and attended Holy Covenant United Methodist Church in Katy. He was an account manager for National Oilwell Varco. He was a Cub Master for Pack 337 and was also assistant coach for Katy Youth Football. His favorite pastime was watching the Green Bay Packers.

He is survived by his wife Deidre, Katy, Texas; daughter Danielle and son David, both at home; his parents Glenn and Carol Remington, Gleason; brothers Glenn Jr. (Nancy), De Pere; and Billy (Kristyn), Schofield; sisters Julie (Paul) Puhl, Gleason; and Betsy Remington (Craig Walters), Polar; and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives. He was preceded in death by sisters Cindy and Laura and grandparents Wallie and Lillian Remington and Carl and Grace Robinson.

Funeral services were held on Monday, June 26, at the Schmidt Funeral Home Chapel, Katy, Texas. Rev. Dan Sherrill officiated. Burial was in Katy Magnolia Cemetery.
