Zada J. Zimmerman

Zada J. Zimmerman, 89, of Merrill, died Monday, July 10, 2006, at Pine Crest Nursing Home, Merrill.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 14, at the Waid Funeral Home, Merrill. Rev. Donald King will officiate. Burial will be in Snow Hill Cemetery, town of Scott. Visitation is Friday from 9 a.m. to the hour of services at the funeral home. A complete obituary will be published in next week’s Foto News.

Zada J. Zimmerman

Zada J. Zimmerman, 89, of Merrill, died Monday, July 10, 2006, at Pine Crest Nursing Home, Merrill.

Born in Merrill on June 10, 1917, Zada was the daughter of the late Carl and Eleanor Beatty Newholm. She married William H. Zimmerman in 1938 in Bessemer, Mich. He died on April 13, 1999.

Zada graduated from Merrill High School. She worked at Weinbrenner Shoe Company and later at Montgomery Ward in Merrill. Zada was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Merrill. She enjoyed knitting, reading, spending time with her friends and especially being with her grandchildren.

Surviving are her son Gary (Barb), Merrill; grandchildren Lisa (Steve) Moon, Monroe; and Chad (Jana) Zimmerman, Johnson Creek; and great-grandchildren Gabriel and Benjamin. She was preceded in death by her husband William and sister Ruth Hoffman.

Funeral services were Friday, July 14, at the Waid Funeral Home, Merrill. Rev. Donald King officiated. Burial was in Snow Hill Cemetery, town of Scott.
