Mark E. Bahlow

Mark E. Bahlow, 46, of 1004 Cottage St., Merrill, died Friday, July 14, 2006, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Mark was born March 6, 1960, in Merrill, son of Dorothy Kienbaum Bahlow and the late Edwin Bahlow. He married Sandy Kufahl on Oct. 25, 2003. She survives.

Mark was a bricklayer. He was first employed with J&J Lee Construction, Merrill, and most recently with Miron Construction. He was a member of the Bricklayers & Allied Craft Workers, Local #6. Mark was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Merrill. He served two terms on the Merrill City Council as Fifth Ward alderman. Mark enjoyed NASCAR, snowmobiling, the Green Bay Packers, and his dog “Buffy.”

Mark is survived by his wife Sandy, Merrill; his mother Dorothy Bahlow, Merrill; daughter Erin and son Matthew, both of Merrill; step-daughters Sara Kufahl, Merrill; and Ashley Kufahl, St. Cloud, Minn.; and step-son Kyle Kufahl, Merrill. Also surviving are sister Barb (Phil) Borchardt, Merrill; brother-in-law John Genrich, Wausau; and nieces and nephews Blake and Marissa Borchardt and Dylan Genrich.

Funeral services were Tuesday, July 18, 2006, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Merrill. Rev. David Klemm officiated. Burial was in Merrill Memorial Park. The Taylor & Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, served the family.
