Violet Duginski

Violet Duginski, 84, formerly of 11 W. Merrill Ave., Tomahawk, died Wednesday, July 12, 2006, at Seasons of Life Hospice House, Woodruff.

Violet was born April 1, 1922, in Tomahawk, daughter of the late Harry and Mary Hess Williams. She married James Duginski on Nov. 10, 1950, in Bessemer, Mich. He preceded her in death on April 21, 1989.

Violet was a homemaker and had worked at Weinbrenner Shoe Company and Wire Products, both in Merrill. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Tomahawk. Violet enjoyed reading and gardening.

Violet is survived by her daughter Sandra (Joseph) Matis, Mosinee; granddaughters Heather Scheidemann, Wausau; and Andrea Scheidemann, Austin, Texas; and great-granddaughter Autumn. Also surviving are sister Rose (Ralph) Steffin, Amherst; and brother Harry ‘Hank’ Williams Jr., Beloit. She was preceded in death by son Randy; sister Marjorie Gilbertson; and brothers Clinton, Richard, Robert, Thomas, Lloyd and Frederick.

Funeral services were Friday, July 14, at the Taylor & Stine Funeral Home, Merrill. Rev. Mark Schoenherr officiated. Burial was in St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, Merrill.
