Vernon F. Fleischman

Vernon Fred Fleischman, 67, of N6039 S. Pratt Rd., Gleason, town of Vilas, Langlade County, died Tuesday, July 18, 2006, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital with his family.

Born Jan. 1, 1939, in the town of Vilas, Vernon was the son of the late Fred W. and Emma Reiminger Fleischman. He married Beverly Zaitz on June 18, 1966, in St. Wencel Catholic Church, Neva. They recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary.

Vernon was a member of St. John Catholic Church, Antigo. He attended Forestview School, town of Vilas, and graduated from Antigo High School in 1957. He owned and operated the family dairy farm in the town of Vilas and logged for many years before retiring in 2001. Vernon enjoyed golfing, bowling, pool, hardball, softball, fishing and hunting, woodworking, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife Beverly, daughter Teresa (Andy) Krusensterna, Gleason; sons Thomas (Cheryl) and Timothy (Sarah), both of Gleason; and grandchildren James and Jessica Krusensterna; Jacob and Abigail Fleischman; and Elijah and Grace Fleischman.

Funeral services were Saturday, July 22, at St. John Catholic Church, Antigo. Rev. Charles Hoffman officiated. Burial was in Forestview Cemetery, town of Vilas. The Bradley Funeral Home, Antigo, served the family.
