Erna Schult

Erna Schult, 80, of Merrill, died Monday, Feb. 19, 2007, at Pine Crest Nursing Home, Merrill.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, at Trinity Lutheran Church, town of Berlin. Rev. Jeffrey Schmidt will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday evening, Feb. 22, 4-8 p.m., at the Waid Funeral Home, Merrill, and again on Friday from 12:30 at the church.

Erna M. Schult

Erna Marie Schult, 80, of Merrill, died Monday, Feb. 19, 2007, at Pine Crest Nursing Home, Merrill, under Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.

Erna was born May 30, 1926, in Ringle, daughter of the late Frank and W. Pauline Steinbach Bauer.

Erna operated Tug Lake Bar, worked for Gatterman's Poultry, the Badger Hotel, was a bus driver for the Wausau School District and owned and operated a dairy farm before her retirement. She loved embroidering, playing cards, listening to polka music and in the early years playing softball. Erna loved children, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving are her children Mary Klade, Merrill; Frank (Joanne) Wimmer, Sterling Heights, Mich.; and Joe (Darlene) Wimmer, Jerome "Charlie" (Janice) Cole, Susan (Andy) Seliger, and Sally (Charlie) Meyer, all of Merrill; 30 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers Robert (Beverly) Bauer, Merrill; and Dale (Sharon) Bauer, Pulaski; and sister Joyce (Walter) Wiederhoeft, Wausau.

She was preceded in death by brothers George and Ormand Bauer, sisters Lillian Bauer and Beverly Beranek; grandsons Michael Talbot and James Savaske; and son-in-law Dennis Klade.

Funeral services were Friday, Feb. 23, at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, town of Berlin. Rev. Jeffrey Schmidt officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.

The Waid Funeral Home, Merrill, assisted the family.
