Loretta Tiffany, 80, of Merrill, died Monday, March 13, 2006, at Woodland Court Elder Services, Merrill.

Born in Merrill on Jan. 7, 1926, Loretta was the daughter of the late Godfrey and Anna Schenzel Will. She married Maurice Tiffany Sr. on March 4, 1950, at her parents’ home in Irma. He died on May 25, 1997.

Loretta and her husband farmed early in their marriage in rural Tomahawk, and for many years in the town of Berlin. Her life centered around her love for Jesus and her family. She taught her children by example what marriage looks like when a husband and life love and respect each other. As long as she was able, she spent time daily reading the Bible and in prayer for her family and others. She taught herself to play the piano at about age 18. She loved to sit down and play hymns for her own enjoyment. After her health restricted other activities, she found time for recreational reading. Her favorite authors were Jeanette Oke and Betty Neels. Her greatest pleasure came from spending time with each of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be missed by her family and friends, but they rejoice with her in the reunion she is now experiencing in heaven.

Surviving are her daughters Lynda (Albert) VanDyke, Burlington, Ky.; Susan (Steve) Hanson, Gillette; Laurie (Mark) Stilwell, Merrill; sons Stephen (Susan), Merrill; and Maurice (Stephanie), Hancock; grandchildren Rebecca (James) Paulus, Jessica (Ben) Gruetzmacher, Amanda, Melissa, Pamela and Daniel Tiffany, Jason (Emily), Brian and Adam Vandyke, Tiffany Larson, Ben Hanson, Jonathon and David Tiffany, Christopher and Daniel Stilwell; and great-grandchildren Cassandra, Abigail, Randi, Clayton and Kelsi. Also surviving are brothers Fred (Phyllis) Will, Merrill; and Roland (Jean) Will, San Jacinto, Calif.; and sister Viola (Stanley) King, Groveland, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her husband, three sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services were Friday, March 17, at the Waid Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Springbrook Cemetery, Town of Pine River.
