Edna E. Wiederhoeft, 93, formerly of Jenny Towers, Merrill, died Wednesday, March 22, 2006, at Marywood Convalescent Center, Wausau.

Edna was born April 5, 1912, in the town of Hamburg, daughter of the late William and Pauline Burkhardt Schoenherr. She married Martin Wiederhoeft on June 2, 1934, at St. John Lutheran Church, Hamburg. He preceded her in death in August 1965.

Edna was a postal clerk at the Post Office in Hamburg. She was also a homemaker. Edna had also been a nanny for two children in the Wausau area for about 12 years. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and traveling.

Survivors include her daughter JoAnn (Lyle) Mathwich, Beloit; son Stanley (Lorraine), Hamburg; son-in-law Robert Bonke, Merrill; grandchildren Lori Wiederhoeft, Dixie Wiederhoeft, Chris (Jenny) Wiederhoeft, Leigh Mathwich and Jeremy Mathwich; and great-grandchildren Austin and Darrin Wiederhoeft. Also surviving are sisters Claire Spatz, Merrill; and Eleanor (Leslie) Litzer, Wausau; and sister-in-law Gloria Wiederhoeft. She was preceded in death by her daughter Jennie Bonke in 1984; sisters Alma, Louise, Adelia, Margie and an infant sister; and brothers Walter, William Jr., Fred and Arnold.

Funeral services were Saturday, March 25, at St. John Lutheran Church, Town of Hamburg. Rev. John Nelson officiated. Burial was in St. John Lutheran Cemetery, town of Hamburg. The Taylor & Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, assisted the family with arrangements.
