Todd was born on January 22, 1979, in Sparta, Wis., the son of Russ and Carol Mancl of Merrill, Wis. He was a 1998 graduate of Whitehall High School, and enjoyed listening to music. He was a Minnesota Vikings and Twins fan. Todd’s dream was to someday become a mechanic and own his own shop. Survivors include his parents, Russ and Carol Mancl of Merrill; one sister, Sonya Mancl of Minneapolis, Minn.; grandmother, Noreen Gehlen of Glencoe, Minn.; his birth mother, Vicki Plein and her sister, Melissa, both of Sparta.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, August 13, 2004, at Holy Cross Chapel at Bell Tower Residence in Merrill, with Sister Pat Cormack and Sister John Marie officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Waid Funeral Home in Merrill, and from 1:30 p.m. Friday until the time of services at the chapel.
