Surnames: Kersten, Wochinske ---Source: The Arizona Republic (Phoenix, Az.) 29 Mar. 2004 ---Kersten, Alice Elizabeth (19 Oct. 1915 – 26 Mar. 2004) Alice Elizabeth Kersten, 88, of Scottsdale AZ. She joined her husband Ray in heaven on March 26, 2004. Alice was born Oct. 19. 1915, in Merrill, WI to Frank and Martha Wochinske. She moved with her family to Scottsdale in 1952, where she worked as a bookkeeper at Lute's Scottsdale Pharmacy and later in her family owned businesses "The Company" stores and Kersten Brothers Greeting Cards. Alice was a warm and beautiful person and her family and friends will love her forever. She is survived by her two sons and their wives, Rick and Janie, Pete and Jacque, a grandson Matt and his wife Jillian and a brother Roger Wochinske from Green Bay, WI. A memorial service will be held at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 3641 N. 56th St. in Phoenix. On Tuesday, March 30th at 2 pm. Memorial contributions may be directed to VistaCare Hospice Foundation, In Memory of Alice Kersten, 4800 North Scottsdale Road Scottsdale Az 85251. Arrangements by Green Acres Mortuary.
