Delores A. Bargren, 93

ROCKFORD -- Delores A. Bargren, 93, of Rockford died at 12:10 p.m. Friday, June 11, 2004, in her home. She was born on Dec. 19, 1910, in Tomahawk, Wis. She and her family later moved to Rockford, where she met and married Leonard R. Bargren.

They then moved to Bridgeport, Conn., where they spent many happy years, later returning to the Rockford area. Her family meant everything to her, and she always put their needs before her own. She was truly a homemaker. She loved to cook and clean and made her home a happy, cozy place. She was a devoted member of Tabor Lutheran Church. She will be greatly missed as a loving mom and grandma, great-grandma and a very best friend.

Survivors include daughters, Kathi (Dean) Foster, Judy (John) Jacobson; grandson, Chris (Mary Ann) DeGroff; granddaughters, Sarah (Jim) Pinter and Emily (Ben) Burlingham; great-grandchildren, Grace DeGroff, Allison, Jacob and Megan Pinter; sister, Audrey Mattson; sisters-in-law, Helen Kuhn and Margaret Bargren; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Sandy and Jack Anderson and Kim, Mark, Hannah and Marcus.

Predeceased by husband, Leonard; parents, John and Mary Larson; sisters, Leona and Evelyn; and brothers, Lyle and Everett. Special thanks to Northern Illinois Hospice for their kindness and support.

Private graveside service in Scandinavian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Tabor Lutheran Church or the Leukemia Research Foundation, 820 Davis St., Suite 420, Evanston, Ill., 60201, made in the acknowledgement of her great-granddaughter, Grace DeGroff, who is recovering from leukemia.

Arrangements completed by Fred C. Olson Funeral Chapels Ltd., East Chapel, 1001 Second Ave.
