Bennett, John H. GLEASON -

John H. Bennett, age 45, of Gleason, passed away on Friday, Dec. 24, 2004, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

John was born on May 4, 1959, in Lancaster, the son of Virgil and Sophie (Stadelman) Bennett. He graduated from Bloomington High School in 1977. John then attended Southwest Technical School in Fennimore. He enjoyed spending time with his family, farming in the Town of Schley, football, following the Packers, and fishing.

John married Janet Kirschbaum on April 20, 1985. They had a son, Daniel John Bennett. They were later divorced. On Sept. 9, 1998, John married Beverly Rychter.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly Bennett of Gleason; a son, Dan Bennett of Cassville; his father, Virgil (Geneva) Bennett of Lancaster; three sisters, Mary (Phil) Wegmann of Lancaster, Franny (Rodger) Irish of Lancaster, and Joanne (Dave) Zweifel of Lake Mills; a brother, Tom (Sally) Bennett of Lancaster; nine nieces and nephews; nine aunts and uncles; and eight grand nieces and grand nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sophie Bennett.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 30, 2004, at 11 a.m. at the WAID FUNERAL HOME in Merrill, with the Rev. James Horath officiating.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004, from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home, and on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.
