THORP, Wis. -- Former Anderson and Pendleton resident Richard H. "Mac" McDonald, 59, Thorp, died Feb. 8, 2004, at the William S. Middleton Veterans Administration Medical Center in Madison.

While residing in the Anderson/Pendleton area he owned a gas station and worked as an electrician and prison guard. He also worked at Firestone as a maintenance electrician. While a resident of Pendleton, he worked for the city's power company for several years.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1965 to 1971.

Survivors include two children, Heather Eaton and Jason McDonald; two grandchildren; a brother, Fred (Joan) Petke; and two sisters, Cindy (Wayne) Satonica and Patsy (Al) Tetzlaff.

Also surviving is his fiancé, Vera Budzinski.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Thorp with the Rev. Daniel Welch officiating. Burial will be in Gleason Cemetery, Gleason, Wis. Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Arrangements are being handled by Thorp Funeral Home.
