Roxanne G. Geiger

Roxanne G. Geiger, 54, of Merrill, died Tuesday, March 6, 2007, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital following surgery.

Born in Wisconsin Rapids on Jan. 15, 1953, Roxanne was the daughter of Elsie Alloway Newman and the late Richard Swanson. She married Anthony Geiger on Sept. 11, 1971, in Merrill. He survives.

Beloved wife, mother, daughter and aunt, Roxy will be deeply missed by friends and family. Roxy graduated from Merrill High School in 1971. Roxy worked at Holy Cross Hospital for 38 years. She enjoyed knitting and reading.

Surviving are her husband Tony and son Benjamin, both of Merrill; her mother Elsie (Rushton) Newman; and sisters Vicki Robinson and Heidi (Said) Qiabi, both of Minneapolis, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Swanson.

Memorial services were Friday, March 9, at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, Merrill. Rev. Jeffrey Martinson officiated. The Waid Funeral Home, Merrill, assisted the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the T. B. Scott Library Fund.
