Vernon Donald Bruns, 70, of Harrison Memorial services for Vernon Donald Bruns, age 70, of Harrison, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 22, at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Harrison with the Rev. Eric Stefanski officiating. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home of Branson, Mo.

He died at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, March 18 (2008) at the Skaggs Community Health Center in Branson, Mo.

He was born Sept. 19, 1937, in Tomahawk, Wis., the son of Albert and Ethel Jones Bruns. He was a retired truck driver.

Survivors are his wife, Eldora Langhoff Bruns of the home; six children, Allan Bruns of Baraboo, Wis., Terry Bruns of Lowell, Jerry Bruns of Idabel, Okla., Rose Ann Zimmerman of Winter Haven, Fla., Carol Huefner of Lyndon Station, Wis. and Pamela Denman of Baraboo, Wis.; his siblings, Charles Bruns of Edgewood, N.M., Lewis Bruns of Hemet, Calif., Bernice Jones of Tomahawk, Wis., Lucelia Heldt of Marathon, Wis., Connie Hecklinger of Bellwood, Ill., Gladys Gross of San Benito, Texas and Julia Bergman of Gleason, Wis.; 18 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings, Doris Jaeger, Melvin Bruns, Harold Bruns and Myron Bruns.
