Louise C. Myers

Louise C. Myers, 88, of Merrill, died Tuesday, March 13, 2007, at Pine Crest Nursing Home, Merrill, under Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice.

Born in Weyerhauser on May 24, 1918, Louise was the daughter of the late Michael and Eva Larnopolska Michalski. She was the widow of Jerome Myers.

Louise graduated from Merrill High School in 1937. She then moved to Milwaukee where she met and married Jerome "Breezy" Myers on Oct. 25, 1941. He preceded her in death on Feb. 2, 1950. Louise had worked at Hanson Glove and then as a nurse's aide at Pine Crest Nursing Home in Merrill until her retirement. Louise was a foster grandparent at Lincoln Hills for many years. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Merrill.

Survivors include her daughter Michele (Richard) Moyer, Merrill; son Patrick, Merrill; granddaughters Lynn (Vern) Von Ruden, Julie (Marc) Ertl and Sheila (Todd) Olson; great-grandsons Alexander Paulson, Jack and Ian Ertl; and sister Catherine Myers, Spooner.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jerome, sisters Helen Johnson and Rose Krenzelock; and brothers Walter, Adam, John, Jake, Thomas and Joseph Michalski.

Funeral services were Saturday, March 17, at St. Francis Catholic Church, Merrill. Rev. James R. Horath officiated. Burial was in St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, Merrill.

The Waid Funeral Home, Merrill, served the family.
