Evelyn L. Winetzki

Evelyn L. Winetzki, 82, of Merrill, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007, at Bell Tower Residence, Merrill, under Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice.

Born in Merrill on April 11, 1924, Evelyn was the daughter of the late Robert and Hattie Engel Radloff. She married Lawrence Winetzki. He preceded her in death.

Evelyn graduated from Merrill High School in 1942. She worked for 40 years for the AT&T Telephone Co. in Merrill, Wausau ad Appleton. Evelyn enjoyed traveling, baking, reading, music and dancing. She was always upbeat-ready and willing to help others. Evelyn had a personal relationship with her Savior, Jesus Christ. She especially enjoyed her nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Evelyn loved children, entertaining and just having a good time with her friends and family.

Surviving are her sisters Viola Zich, Merrill; and LuAnn Robins, Rhinelander; brother Leslie (Grayce) Radloff, Merrill; and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence, sisters Norma LeClerc, Verna Griffin and Dorothy Zastrow, and brothers Clarence, Lawrence, Elmer and Milton Radloff.

Funeral services were Saturday, Jan. 6, at Bell Tower Residence, Merrill. Rev. Carolyn Saunders officiated. Burial was in Snow Hill Cemetery, town of Scott. The Waid Funeral Home, Merrill, handled the arrangements. Memorials may be given to the Hospice program or Bell Tower Residence.
