Lange, Warren B.

Warren B. Lange, 85, Denmark, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2006, following a short illness. Warren was born March 27, 1921, to the late Bernhard "Ben" and Emma (Eisenman) Lange.

He married the former Janet Schroeder Sept. 26, 1942, in Merrill, Wis.; she preceded him in death in January of 1989. Warren served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1942 to 1945. He was a member of the Denmark VFW Post #6705 and was Past Commander of the post. Warren was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church Denmark. He worked for F.O. Zeise Construction Company for 31 years and was a member of the Carpenters Local #1146. Warren enjoyed fishing, hunting with his black labs, spending time at his cottages in Pembine and woodworking.

Survivors include a daughter, Melody (Tony) Urban, a very special grandson, Scott, a sister, Carol (Jerry) Johnson, special friend, Imogene Krueger, sisters-in-law, Adeline Yellstrom, Joan Schroeder, June Beltz and by cousins, nieces and nephews.

Warren was preceded in death by his parents; wife Janet; an infant brother; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Iona and her first husband, Elroy Johnson, and her second husband, Bernard Frelich, Hazel (Harry) Brandenburg, Harriet Villwock and brother-in-law Milton Villwock; and by his wife, Janet's four brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Denmark, on Saturday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service will be held Saturday 11:30 a.m. at the church with Rev. Ralph Hankermeyer officiating. Denmark VFW Post #6705 will conduct the military rites. Entombment in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.

Knutson-Cotter Funeral Home, Denmark is assisting the family.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
