Church Rites are planned for Fireman

Service at St. Patrick’s is announced for Harold Bostwick.

Funeral services for Harold W. Bostwick, first assistant fire chief who died at 8 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Hospital, Antigo, will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and 9:30 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church, Rev. George Eilers officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.

He was born March 4, 1905, in Merrill, Lincoln County, the son of Elmer and Mary Berrens Bostwick. He married Ivahbelle Nelson Nov. 20, 1924, in Fond du Lac and they have resided in the city since that time.

Mr. Bostwick was active on the fire force since 1932 at No. 5 station house. He was a member of Wisconsin Paid Fireman Legislative Association and International Association of Fire Fighters. A member of St. Patrick’s Church, he belonged to the Holy Name Society.

Survivors include his widow; two sons, Donald and Ralph, city; 11 grandchildren; three brothers, Corliss, City and Irvin and Delmar in California; and two sisters, Mrs. Leonard Wood and Mrs. Oliver Zinkgraf, city. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son and one brother.
