Ament, New London, age 79, passed away on Monday, July 30, 2007, at Century Oaks in the Town of Menasha. Vilas was born on February 6, 1928, in Merrill, son of the late David and Adeline (Luetke) Ament. On May 15, 1948, he was united in marriage to Marian Grund in Merrill. She preceded him in death in 2004. Vilas owned and operated Ament Construction Company from 1957 until retirement in 1978. He served his country in the Navy Sea Bee's from 1946-1948.
