Wednesday, 28 Mar. 2007; page 9 ---Schneider, Marcella E. (17 Mar. 1920 – 19 Mar. 2007) Marcella E. Schneider Marcella E. Schneider, 87, of 304 Pier St., Merrill, died Monday, March 19, 2007, at Good Samaritan Health Center, Merrill. Marcella was born March 17, 1920, in Merrill, daughter of the late Harold and Martha Hostman English. She married Milton J. "Buck" Schneider on Jan. 30, 1942, in Merrill. He preceded her in death on Oct. 14, 1989. Marcella had worked at the Weinbrenner Shoe Company, Merrill, retiring after 36 years of employment. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Merrill, the Eagles Auxiliary, the VFW Auxiliary, and the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary. Marcella enjoyed travelling with her husband after they retired, shopping for her grandchildren and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Survivors include her daughters Jacklyn Akey, Merrill; and Jill (Dennis) Donohue, Manitowoc; son James M. "Ole" (Susan), Merrill; grandchildren Tanya (Jeff) Cammach and Brett Schneider, both of Merrill; Stephanie (Brett) Oren, Edgerton; and Cory and Derek Donohue, both of Manitowoc; and great-grandchildren Mitchael, Breanna, Tyler, Cullen and Ashlyn. Also surviving are sisters Nancy (Reuben) Gartman, Merrill; Margie English, Colby; and Bonita (Fritz) Heller, King; and brothers Allison (Nancy) English, Merrill; and Richard (Grace) English, Green Bay. She was preceded in death by sister Donna Tomajcik; and brothers Lyle, Sanford "Sandy," James and Bruce English. Funeral services were Friday, March 23, at Christ United Methodist Church, Merrill. Rev. Carolyn Saunders officiated. Entombment was in Merrill Memorial Park Mausoleum. The Taylor & Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, assisted the family. The family has suggested that memorials be directed to the Alzheimer's Association. The family would like to thank Dr. Lee, Dr. Wheat, and the staff of Good Samaritan Health Center for the help they provided their mother Marcella.
