Linda A. Schuster, 85, of Merrill, died Tuesday, January 11, 2005, at Pine Crest Nursing Home, Merrill, under Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Program.

Born in the town of Berlin, on January 22, 1919, Linda was the daughter of the late Richard and Irene Sabatke Giese. She married Leonard Schuster in the town of Berlin. He preceded her in death in 1968.

Linda had worked at Fromm Brothers in the town of Hamburg. For many years she worked at Club Modern in Merrill. Linda was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Merrill. She did volunteer work at Merrill’s Park Place. She enjoyed music and dancing. Linda was known as a very helpful and kind person.

Survivors include her daughter Margaret Vanis, Merrill; sister Lillie Utech, town of Hamburg; sisters-in-law Edna Giese, Wausau; LeElda Giese, Merrill; Mildred Giese, Wausau; and Helen Giese, town of Berlin; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband Leonard, she was preceded in death by sister Nina Oelke and brothers Edwin, Alfred, Walter and LaVern Giese.

Funeral services were Friday, January 14, at the Waid Funeral Home, Merrill. Rev. David Klemm officiated. Burial was in St. Paul’s Cemetery, town of Berlin.
