Marie A. Wiesmann, 40, of 507 ½ S. Foster St., Merrill, died Wednesday, January 19, 2005, at her home under the care of her family and Comfort Care and Hospice Services.

Marie was born July 29, 1964, in Merrill, daughter of Gordon and Bonnie Zortman Wiesmann.

Marie worked as a farm laborer in Eldor Schult. She had also worked at Stokely Canning Company in Merrill. Marie was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Merrill. She enjoyed collecting Flintstone memorabilia and cat sculptures. Marie was very interested in genealogy. She enjoyed listening to country music and watching the Packers. She also enjoyed the company of her pet cat, “Miss Kitty.”

Survivors include her parents Gorden and Bonnie, Merrill; her paternal grandmother Viola Wiesmann, Merrill; her godparents Patricia Zuelsdorff, Milton Schult and Eldor Schult, all of Merril; her special aunt Carol J. Oseness, Merrill; and many aunts and uncles and cousins.

Funeral services were Saturday, January 22, at the Taylor & Stine Funeral Home, Merrill. Rev. Donald Klemm officiated. Burial was in Snow Hill Cemetery, town of Scott. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be directed to the T. B. Scott Public Library in Merrill.
