----Stine, Edwin “Ed” Jr. (27 April 1956 – 20 Jan. 2005)

Edwin “Ed” Stine Jr., 48, Eagle River, died Thursday, January 20, 2005, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Ed was born April 27, 1956, in Worcester, Mass., son of Grace Stine now of St. Johnsville, N. Y. and the late Edwin Stine.

Ed had been a reisent of Eagle River for the past 27 years. He worked at Lac Vieux Desert Casino as a dealer. He enjoyed watching the eagles.

Ed is survived by his wife Ruth M. Staffen Stine, Eagle River; his mother; daughters April Stine, Crystal Falls, Mich.; and Marie (Dave) Hawkins, Chanute, Kan.; son Ted (Sandra) Sueck; Wausau; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his step-mother Nonnie Stine, Livingston, Texas; sister Debbie Oliphant, St. Johnsville, N. Y.; and brothers Mike (Elvira) Stine, Germany; and Steve (Laurel) Stine, Merrill.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday, January 289, at the Gaffney-Busha Funeral Home in Eagle River. Rev. Douglas W. Siby will officiate. Burial will be in Hildegard Cemetery, Conover. Visitation will be 3-6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home in Eagle River and again on Friday starting at 10 a.m. The Taylor & Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, assisted with the local arrangements.
