---Lange, Wayne L. (12 April 1948 – 8 Feb. 2005)

Wayne L. Lange, 56, of Wausau, died unexpectedly of an aneurysm on Tuesday, February 8, 2005, at his home.

Wayne was born April 12, 1948, in Merrill to Leslie and Harriet Meyer Lange. He married Diann Storm in Merrill on September 30, 1972.

Wayne was a loving, kind and compassionate husband and father. He loved spending time with his wife and daughter. Together they spent many happy times vacationing and sharing in the outdoor experience. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and biking. Wayne was always ready to help others, never hesitating when asked. He proudly served in the U. S. Army in Vietnam. Wayne was also a member of the VFW in Wausau. He was a highly valued employee at Merrill Iron and Steel, where he worked for over 15 years. Wayne was a member of Grace United Church of Christ in Wausau. His entire family will dearly miss him, as will his many friends.

Wayne is surviving by Diann; his wife of 32 years; his daughter Gina; parents Leslie and Harriet Lange, Gleason; brother Leslie Jr.; Merrill; sister Judy Lange, Gleason; mother-in-law Luella Storm; sisters-in-law Audrey (Jerome) Schmidt, Wausau; Kay (Paul) Walkowicz, Weston; and Terry (Bill) Vullings, Kronewetter; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law Wilbert Storm.

Funeral services were Saturday, February 12, at Grace United Church of Christ, Wausau. Rev. Jake Close officiated. Entombment was in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. The Helke Funeral Home, Wausau, served the family.
