Elizabeth Ann Eckes, 74, of Merrill, died Tuesday, February 8, 2005, at Comfort Hospice, 601 S. Center Ave., Merrill.

Born in Marshfield on May 12, 1930, Elizabeth was the daughter of Curtis and Norma Muir Utter. She married Roy Eckes on May 27, 2957, in Marshfield. He survives.

Elizabeth had worked in the personnel department at Roddis Plywood Corporation in Marshfield. She enjoyed spending her time with her husband and her family members. She also enjoyed reading her books, puzzles, golfing and bowling.

Surviving are her husband Roy, Merrill; sons Thomas (Patti), Stevens Point; and Curtis (Linda), Merrill; grandchildren Chad (Lori) Eckes, Mosinee; Kevin Eckes, Perrysburg, Ohio; Jackie (Dan) Rosek, Boyceville; Madeline Eckes, Menominee; Katie Lynn Eckes and Christopher Eckes, both of Merrill; great-grandchild Peyton Madyson; and sister Margaret Berg, Marshfield.

Private family services will be held at a later date. The Waid Funeral Home, Merrill, is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the T. B. Scott Library, Merrill.
