Clara M. Alorie

Clara M. Alorie, 86, Tomahawk, formerly of the Town of Rock falls, died Friday, Dec. 10 1999 at the Golden Age Nursing Home, Tomahawk.

Born in Irma Apr. 20 1913, Clara was the daughter of Charles and Thora Knudson Peterson. She married Thomas J. Alorie Jul 11, 1931 in Eagle River.

Clara was a former member at the ladies aid at the former Bethany Lutheran Church. Town of Birch. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking and her grandchildren.

Surviving are daughters Virginia (Victor) Cottrell, Tomahawk; and Joyce Suwyn, Irma; nine grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters Norma Kash, Boulder Junction; and Thelma Schmidtke, West Frankfort, Il. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1994.

Funeral services were Monday, Dec 13, 1999 at the Taylor-Mann-Stine Funeral home, Merrill, Rev. James W. Primley officiated. Burial will be in the Bethany Cemetery, Town of Birch.
