Marcy Berndt, Merrill, and Nick Hinz, Middlton, were united in Holy Matrimony on July 31, 2004, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Merrill. Rev. Joel Danner officiated at the afternoon ceremony where music was provided by a string quartet from Stevens Point and soloist, Jim Bjorklund.

The bride is the daughter of Dean and Sherry Berndt, Merrill. The groom is the son of Mike and Jody Hinz, Middleton.

Maid of honor was Jenny Berndt, sister of the bride, Merrill, and Luke Hinz, brother of the groom, Middleton, was best man.

Bridesmaids were Shelly Kultgen, Morton, Ill.; Jody Allison, Madison; Katie Skaar, Merrill; Amy Schofield, Stevens Point; and Megan Larsen, Oshkosh. Personal attendants were Sarah Parker, Germany; and Amanda Sutter, Green Bay.

Groomsmen included Jason Berndt, brother of the bride, Merrill; James Harrod, Middleton; Tony Kalscheur, Minneapolis, Minn.; Nick Simon, Madison; and Kevin Sokolwski, Maine.

Ushers were Mike Turner, Eau Claire; and Ryan Holzscheter, Madison.

A reception was held at Holiday Inn in Wausau. The couple will take a honeymoon trip to Hawaii at a later date.

Marcy is a kindergarten teacher in DeForest. Nick is a certified public accountant with Virchow Krause and Company in Madison. They live in DeForest.
