Joanna Nieds and William O’Malley, both of Weston, were married August 28, 2004, at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, Merrill. Rev. Jeffrey L. Martinson officiated at the early afternoon ceremony where music was provided by organist Bea Lebal, pianist Walter Nieds III, and vocalists Stephanie and Bob Latzig.

The bride is the daughter of Warren and Joan Niebs, Merrill. The groom is the son of Sue O’Malley, Altus, Okla., and Don and Corleen O’Malley, Wausau.

Maid of honor was Stephanie Byer, Merrill; and Steve Lieder, Merrill, was best man.

Serving as bridesmaids were Jenny Brandt, Pewaukee; Jessica Rajek, Weston; Desirae Thomaschefsky, Merrill; Angie Malm, Oshkosh; and Misty Vozka, Wausau. Miniature bride was Kaylee Rajek, Weston; and flower girl was Kelsey O’Malley, sister of the groom, Wausau.

Groomsmen included Donny O’Malley, brother of the groom, Pewaukee; Ryan Nieds, brother of the bride, Merrill; Shawn Romatoski, Merrill; Jeremy Sobotik, Sussex; and Aaron Henkelman, Merrill. Miniature groom was Patrick O’Malley, son of the couple, Weston.

Ushers were Walter Nieds III, the bride’s cousin, Marion, III.; and Bryan O’Malley, brother of the groom, Altus, Okla.

A reception was held at the Midway Best Western in Wausau. The couple honeymooned in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.

Joanna is a customer service representative with Wausau Benefits. William is employed with American Asphalt. The pair lives in Weston.
