Edna Olga Schaupp, 75, of Merrill, died Thursday, March 10, 2005, at Good Samaritan Health Center, Merrill.

Born in Grafton on May 31, 1929, Edna was the daughter of the late John and Emma Wollman Simon. She married William Schaupp in Enterprise on May 29, 1963. He preceded her in death on September 19, 2003.

Edna had farmed in the town of Schley with her husband. She enjoyed gardening, gambling, reading and traveling. Edna was a member of Luther Memorial Lutheran Church in Gleason.

Survivors include her daughter Cheryl (Richard) Swanson, Chicago; Ill.; sisters Amanda (Edward) Kultgen, Merrill; Erna Hoffman, Kansas; and Leona (Bud) Ashley, Jackson; brother Rudy (Margaret) Simon, Milwaukee; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband William, two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services were Monday, March 14, at the Waid Funeral Home, Merrill. Rev. Steven Anderson officiated. Burial was in Merrill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
