Frances L. Stuebe, 96, of Merrill, died Sunday, March 13, 2005, at Pine Crest Nursing Home, Merrill.

Born in Wausau on November 17, 1908, Frances was the daughter of the late Albert and Emma Graveen Schulz. She married Edgar Stuebe on January 5, 1943, in Milwaukee. He died on March 15, 1979.

Frances had been a sales clerk at Grayson’s Ladies Apparel in Milwaukee. She moved to Merrill in 1984. Frances was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Merrill, and the Ladies Aid. She enjoyed quilting, traveling to California and South Carolina, and going to her Circle meetings.

Surviving are her nephews Len Koepsell, Morro Bay, Calif.; and Jerry Luebchow, Mount Pleasant, S. C.; and special friends Bonnie Van Slate, Merrill. She was preceded in death by her husband Edgar and brother, Norman Luebchow.

Funeral services will be Thursday, March 17, 10:30 a.m., at the Waid Funeral Home, Merrill. Rev. David Klemm officiated. Burial was in Merrill Memorial Park. Friends may call Thursday Morning from 9 a.m. to the hour of services at the funeral home.
