Jeffrey L. Wenzlick, 50, of Merrill, died Sunday, April 3, 2005, at his home.

Born in Merrill on November 26, 1954, Jeffrey is the son of Veleeta Hoffman Wenzlick and the late Russell Wenzlick.

Jeff worked at Semco for 14 years. He enjoyed fishing, gambling, following NASCAR racing, the Packers, and all sports. He was a member of the Lincoln Gun Club. Jeff had umpired for many years in the Merrill Potbelly League. He especially enjoyed taking his nieces and nephews to various things.

Survivors include his mother Veleeta (Andrew Sullivan) Wenzlick, Merrill; sisters Janice (James) Moser, Terri (Paul) Phillips, Karen (Charles) Brock, Wendy (Elroy) Wieseman and Debbie Wenzlick, all of Merrill; brothers Tom (Brenda Kunda), Madison; and Ralph (Shirley), Merrill; many nieces and nephews, and special friends Dan and Laurie Brooks, Coos Bay, Ore.; Karen Troutman, Merrill; John, Jonathon and Christopher Schultz; and Dano M.; Wausau. He was preceded in death by his father Russell and brother Kevin “Harv.”

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday April 7, at the Waid Funeral Home, Merrill. Rev. Carolyn Saunders will officiate. Visitation will be from noon Thursday until the time of services at the funeral home.
