Michael John Hanson, 42, of Madison, died Monday, September 12, 2005, at Rockford Memorial Hospital, Rockford, Ill., as the result of a motorcycle accident.

Born in Marshfield on August 10, 1963, Michael was the son of John and Joan Jensen Hanson.

Mike was currently employed as a heat and frost insulator and had worked in the Madison and Milwaukee areas for many years. He was a member of Local #19, International Association of Heat and Frost Insulators.

He is survived by his parents John Hanson and Joan Hanson, both of Tomah; brother David (Cynthia), Tomah; nieces Jessica Jo and Jenna Lea Hanson, both of Tomah; maternal grandmother Vera Jensen, Merrill; his special friend Kathy Hoban, New Glarus; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Clarence Jensen; paternal grandparents Clarence Hanson and Madelia Hanson-Dehlinger; and nephew Joshua Hanson.

Funeral services were Saturday, September 17, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Tomah. Rev. William Rice and Rev. Martha Hampton officiated. The Torkelson Funeral Home served the family.
